This is a mockup created for a small sandwich shop in Venice Beach. I took their before and after’s featured down below and detail here what I would do grow an engaged following, gain brand awareness and connect with their community in a more meaningful way.

Package: Full Service Social Media Management / Content Creation / Email Marketing

The Ask:

Their current strategy is basically no strategy - which is often the case for many people (and even businesses) on socials! At Charlie’s, they love their community and want to emphasize that through their content. They are looking for brand awareness, engagement, and ultimately more sales.


The Strategy:

Upon delving into their personal values, doing research on the target market, and an in-depth competitor analysis for Charlie’s, I decided to:

  • Focus on Instagram growth first (starting with one platform)

  • Create some killer content that is eye-catching, community driven, and entices all the senses.

  • Focus on a sign up program where we can gather sign-ups for special promotions & giveaways, and directly speak to the community each week via a fun email newsletter.

The Growth:

We left our client with a growth strategy that is in alignment with the times:

  • Instagram Strategy: Posting 3 x a week, daily stories (more lifestyle as in behind the scenes in the kitchen, a video of the surf cam across the way, or a happy pup who got a treat from the counter, i.e.), and a strategy that mixes promotional content, sandwich features, storytelling, and community outreach.

  • Put an email marketing campaign in order, using their brand colors, after giving a little revamp to the website (made a strong landing page), so that Charlie’s can connect with their customers biweekly and update them on product launches, upcoming events, or promotional deals. We got customers to sign up with their email so that they can be part of the rewards program, which we put into place as well for them

  • Set up a Google Business Profile that will allow automated responses to inquiring customers, reaching out to them if there is a missed call and information about business hours.
